If you are in the White Rock Pier, this is the perfect location for enjoying the water view. It's located while across the pier. Since we are go there on Mother's Day, it's really busy. I think most of the restaurants are short of staff. Just enjoy the view first then waiting for the staff. They work hard to please the customers. I am highly recommended the taro fries( the item you must order) 3 cups chicken pot, Shanghai Fried noodles and duck with lettuce wrap. The food and price are good.

The steamed pork soup dumpling (Xiao Long Bao, or XLB) is the star here. For those who are not familiar, XLB is a delicate dumpling filled with seasoned pork and rich soup that bursts out when you bite into it. The meat is fragrant and juicy, the skin is thin yet chewy. The bottom is not sticky or soggy. The crab meat pork XLB is outstanding! Better than what I have had at Din Tai Fung. The hot and sour soup is very flavourful and easy to drink, perfectly balanced with heat and tang. Might be spicy for some. The eggplant with pork is interesting because it is drenched in the same chili oil typically used for water boiled fish or beef. Different, but worth a try. The deep fried tofu pudding in garlic sauce was a bit too salty for my taste. I would recommend serving the tofu and sauce se

To start there was a black hair in my food. My husband and I do not have black hair. I am naturally blonde he has light brown hair……. 🤮 This was my first time trying this place. I’ve tried many Chinese restaurants in the area and the reviews were high. However, when I came in, I had to try and get their attention and when I did when I went to pay, I noticed that the amount is higher than what is listed on their menu online. I also would’ve ordered online, but there was a four dollar service charge which I called and asked about and they had nothing to say so then they’re charging me more to pick up at the restaurant than they are to order online? When they brought the manager out, she had nothing to say and then walked away. I was very kind about it. I said that it’s OK I’ll pay whatever

Excellent location and service at this restaurant. The patio has amazing views and is a great place to enjoy sunset over the White Rock Pier. The modern decor is beautiful, and reminded me of much fancier restaurants. I arrived very close to closing time, and the owner still let me in and brought me hot tea while I made my orders. The food came out promptly, hot, and freshly made. The portions are big and flavours authentic. I really enjoyed the Seafood Crispy Rice, which I have not had for a long time. The Sauteed Eggplant is also fantastic, with the garnish being a nice touch. However, be warned that for a vegetarian dish it contains meat. Parking is quite a pain, since only paid parking is available and the lots are always filled up.

If you like Shanghai cuisine or Chinese food, this is a good restaurant for you. When you enjoy the yummy food, the ocean view is a bonus. The quality of food, service, price and atmosphere all are well worth the five stars. Since I think they have a good chef, all the food will be good. The portion of the food are good for the price. The lady server that we met is super friendly and helpful. When we want to order the Xiao Long Bao, it was sold out at that time 4pm. The lady tells us after we finished our meal. The stream buns are just freshly made. So we order one again. It's so good with all juice inside the small bun. It will be nicer if we can sit outside but it's too cold out there even with heater. We sure will be back when we are visiting this area again.
