White Rose House

First, this place is dripping gorgeous! Harry and Rose are very wonderful hosts. The place is immaculate. Rooms were clean & warm. Decor was tasteful. The beds are so comfortable that I slept like I was at home - without any melatonin! It was peaceful, private, & secure. The bathrooms are complete with hair dryer, towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc. It's close to the beach, and only a few blocks from both a coffee shop; "Laura's" (great bakery too) serves breakfast & lunch, and walking distance to a place called "Charlies" where we ate soup & fish & chips. Charlies also has a bar & serves lunch, dinner, apps - both these places were great food & great atmosphere. The White Rose B&B (NOT White Rock Rose BnB) should be renamed to White Rose B&S (Bed & Snacks). I searched all the major websites for Bed and Breakfasts in White Rock, British Columbia. This place showed up on all of them advertised as a bed and breakfast. There was no breakfast, just two bananas and a couple of granola bars on the table. I would call this false advertising. The king bed was great but in a small room which made it awkward to move. There were no comfortable chairs in the room but there was one wooden chair and two stools near the wooden table which held the coffee pot, kettle and snacks.

Our room was in the basement with a bathroom across the hall. The view was of a concrete staircase and wall. The bed had human hair and unidentifiable black specks on the sheets. The bathroom was not clean. The shower had black stain where the wall met the floor and the glass door was filthy. The tap spout had algae growing on it. There were yellow spots on the toilet rim. The floor was dirty too.|There was only one bedside table. A hotwater kettle, no coffee, just tea and two bananas.|We suggested to the hosts that, considering the above, they refund us the cleaning fee. We were met with a barrage of gibberish, some English and more of their own language and argument between the woman and the man. The upshot was that we should contact Booking.com and request a refund from them.|We ended u

It is a very tidy place with a beautiful rose garden. The walk to nearby restaurants and beach are pleasant. My room downstairs was so quiet I never heard the trains. The host was attentive when needed. When I was caught in the massive flight cancellations, he delayed my check out until I sorted through my flights with no additional charges. I am very grateful for that. Would love to go back there and stay longer next time. Weiwei

The house is located on a very quite street near the US/Canadian border and just a few miles from the scenic White Rock area. ||||This home is beautiful and cleaner than a hospital.||||My room was large, with ample storage (2 closets) and it had a desk along with two reading chairs. ||No TV, but I've never been to any BnB that has had a TV in the room.||||My en suite bathroom was large, spacious and impeccably clean. ||||I found the owners to be very sweet and the WiFi which I needed for work was excellent.||||Per Mandy857's review the breakfast is simple, eggs, coffee, toast. ||However, I had utensils, and condiments at my disposal. ||||I asked the owners if I could bring in a few items (small individual sized yogurt tubs) to be refrigerated along with some bottled waters and they happil
