It's got a dark and cozy vibe with a calm atmosphere and plenty of varied seating. But some of the chairs were pretty rundown. The lady behind the counter was friendly, and the food came out quickly. The food was premade and refrigerated, and they just warm it up for you. I had the breakfast bake and ham & gruyere. The breakfast bake was still cold in the middle. They tasted ok, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the flavor - likely primarily due to the low amount of filing ingredients. The prices weren't outrageous on their own, but it felt a bit high for the quality of what I received.
Came here with my daughter very cool spot looks very eclectic inside almost as if it could be haunted. Great for Halloween. Would come again the Service was great, ironically it was the guys first day. His name was Adam. Adam, you’re doing a great job, my friend!
I have mixed feelings about this place. The place's atmosphere is a fun and neat concept. But the interior when we got there just seemed very dirty and unwell kept. I get the idea its suppose to be grungy and artsy but it just feel like they are just being lazy at the same time. The coffee was descent, the cinnamon roll was good, and the service was decent as well but not overwhelming.
I love this cafe and have been an advent visitor. The vibe is local and the hours are just perfect for someone to take a seat and do their remote work/tasks. The Bun Shop became a part of my routine and life in Baltimore. My recent issue with the spot comes with the new workers. Despite being nonchalant, which I can tolerate and understand, the quality of the beverages gotten worse. The ingredient balance seems off and the rich flavor that the drinks I usually get seem to not exist anymore. Back on being nonchalant, the new workers make it hard for me to bring this point up. So, here I am leaving a review with a lower star rate.
The Bun Shop has a unique atmosphere that feels like a blend of Edgar Allan Poe and industrial chic—dark, moody, and a little mysterious, yet still cozy in its own way. It’s the kind of place where people gather to chat, read, or work quietly on laptops. There’s plenty of seating, and the fact that they’re open until 3 AM makes it an incredible spot for late-night studying or working when everywhere else is closed. They offer a variety of coffee and tea drinks (menu photos attached), but I came specifically to try the buns. I visited after dinner and there were eight bun options still available. I asked about sweet ones, and they let me know the Apple Turnover and the Roti Boy were the only sweet(ish) ones left. I went with their signature Roti Boy, which was a soft, buttery bun topped wi
