The Brewster Inn

We went to Brewster Inn on Dec 01,2025 for my wife's birthday dinner. We were party of 3 initially ,however my in -laws wanted to surprise my wife so I added two more . Experience was fantastic. Cocktails were great , Oysters and Shrimp Cocktail were as fresh as it gets . Crab cake was delicious , I had the halibut special it was probably the best fish dish ever . Desserts and the dessert drinks were awesome . Amazing dinner experience . Looking for a reason to dine at the Brewster inn again.

We celebrated our 13th anniversary at the Brewster Inn and had a wonderful time! The filet minion was flawless- cooked to perfection over mouthwatering mashed potatoes. We also enjoyed the scallop special which was carefully crafted, with varying depth of flavor from the combination of mashed turnips, golden beets, and pork belly, along with perfectly pan fried sea scallops. Do yourself a favor and order the crème brûlée. Room 4 was tastefully decorated, spacious, and welcoming. We appreciated the walk in closet with a space to store our bulky winter coats and boots, and the extra large whirl pool is heaven on a blustery December evening. We had a relaxing wonderful time at our overnight stay. The inn was very clean and accommodating. Staff was kind and we had nice conversations. |Food was out of this world delicious. We have to disagree with some reviews that portions are small. We took half of ours home and had no room for dessert. |Thank you Brewster Inn for a nice memory.

It is frustrating that this review format focuses on the "Inn" when 99% off the business is the restaurant. My wife and I went with another couple for a Friday night dinner. The server was wonderful. Every course of the meal is itemized, which I'm sure is typical of fine dining. 3 of us got the chowder as an appetizer, which was one cup, measured in a creamer server and poured into the bowl at the table. For the entrée, 2 of us got lobster risotto and the rice was slightly undercooked, but not worth sending back for a redo. My $80 20oz ribeye was supposed to be medium, and was so well done no juice came out of it when I cut it. For the caliber of dining this is supposed to be, it never should have made it to the table. We came here for dinner on our anniversary, what a wonderful experience. The overall environment was beautiful. There were string lights, a view of the lake, pleasant music and a comfortable temperature. When a storm started, the waitresses all ran around to make sure people were comfortable on the screened in porch and outside, which was appreciated. The food was very good and our desserts were excellent. Our server was sweet, friendly and accommodating, and gave us a nice surprise by writing happy anniversary on our dessert plate. It was a truly lovely evening, we will definitely return!
