Cazenovia Public Library

This library is a must visit for locals and passerby alike. They provide enriching activities for people of all ages and support the community. The library includes a museum with many artifacts, including a mummy! It is a one of a kind experience! Wide selection of books and seating available.

The Cazenovia Public Library is the best library around. Not only does it have a stellar selection of books, both old and new, but has an amazing museum with antiquities and natural history (and a real mummy)! The best aspect of the library is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thanks to all the hardworking librarians!

Extremely disappointed in how the July book sale was handled. Several people I know traveled to attend — including my sibling who arrived early — and were told shortly before the event that resellers were not welcome. Nowhere online was this stated. The public listing said “no restrictions,” which was misleading. Many people wasted time, energy, and gas based on incomplete and inaccurate information. If certain buyers are not welcome, that must be made clear in all promotions. This was handled poorly and unfairly to the public.

Wonderful Public Library. They offer many services to the community and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The library is a modern facility that connects to a great little Museum housed in a historic home via a small art gallery. Another unique feature is the Library Cat. They adopted a stray who is friendly and gentle and has the run of the place. The cat is perfectly happy to curl up with someone who wants to read the book and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Even if you're only visiting the area for a short time the museum is well worth the visit.

Visited with a young friend. Staff was very helpful and polite according to Sonja. Found interesting books about cats, Guinness Book of Records, and Elephant and Piggie. Although the Museum was ok Sonja says maybe they could add a kids section. Page the cat is cute. X-ray of Mummy was scary. Good visit.
