The Breakroom Bar and Grill

Great bar and pool hall, however daytime wait staff was clueless. I ordered fried bacon chicken ranch with lettuce, bacon, tomato, and ranch, sub fries for side salad blue cheese dressing. My salad came out fine, but sandwich came plain w fried chicken and bacon, no thing else. I asked server for sides of sandwich and he thought I wanted it in a salad so he brought me another plain salad, no ranch?!?

We were told that The Breakroom had the best burgers in Mattoon/Charleston. Well, that’s almost correct. I will have to say they’re the best burgers in the State! The Roughneck burger was so good, juicy and flavorful! Not to mention, locally sourced beef too! And those fried pickles… well… I can brag about those like the burgers! If you want THE BEST burger in Illinois, you NEED to come here!

First time here. Very good Roughneck Grilled Cheese and Seasoned Crinkle Fries. They offer a pay with cash discount. Nice-friendly servers. We were also impressed with the cook. He communicated a lot with everyone. He even asked how our meal was. If we come back through town, we will be sure to return. Thank you!

I had the Brunch burger with a over eazy egg 🥚 and tater tots. The sliders are wonderful also. Don't forget about the fried pickles 🥒 Excellent service. Tasty tasty tasty 🤤 great atmosphere good music. Good prices and plentiful portions. We will be returning for sure. They do door dash and take out as well.

I had a triple burger and it was ridiculously good. Im actually blown away. The service was great too. Im a pool player so theres that as well. Excellent overall I highly recommend you try a burger here.
