The Boiling Pot

Large portions and great prices! A hidden gem in Mobile. Always hot and fresh and great quality. Not a fancy spot. More of a take out but/ cashiers are always patient and friendly.

My mom picked The Boiling Pot in Mobile, and I was a bit skeptical with the mixed reviews. The place is definitely dated, but the food surprised me—it was solid and satisfying. We had a large group, and everyone agreed the food was good, the staff was friendly, and the tables were clean. A casual, no-frills spot that delivers on taste!

Food is incredible. Atmosphere is quiet and a smidge dated, but the sweet staff and incredible seafood make up for it!

I picked up lunch here today and I can't recommend it. Some people may enjoy this restaurant, because it wasn't terrible, but I won't be back. The ambience is rundown fast food, which is fine, but know what to expect when you go. If you get takeout, check your order before you leave. My box had the correct ticket on the outside but someone else's order inside when I got it home. I ate it anyway, since I wasn't going to drive all the way back. I got fried fish & shrimp, which wasn't bad, but not my cup of tea. They used good quality ingredients and fried to perfection so the batter was crisp and the seafood perfectly tender without being over cooked. Unfortunately, it was also way over seasoned to my tastes. When I eat seafood, I want to taste the seafood. This was basically like eating
