The Board Room

We drove up to Gainesville today to try The Board Room but unfortunately it was closed until four. Mainly did the review just to get the time and restaurant put on Google Maps as it wasn’t showing up before. Thankfully we were able to talk to the manager Will be back soon to it it a try. Keep an eye on their hours. This is a new restaurant. They set up were the Bull & Thistle restaurant was. Im sure their hours will be changing as they get the ball rolling.

The Food was Amazing! I ordered Mussels for an appetizer, they tasted fresh and delicious. Then I got a wedge salad, Ribeye Steak and baked potato. The Steak was cooked perfectly was tender and flavorful. For dessert I got the Chocolate Mousse. This was the best dessert I have ever had! Soft and fluffy Dark Chocolate Mousse with Candied orange peel and walnut oil on top and a dollop of fresh whipped cream. It was melt in your mouth delicious. Service was excellent, my waiter Jarrett was attentive and knowledgeable of the Menu. The atmosphere and food was that of a truly Fine Dining experience! Highly recommend!

They haven't had their Grand Opening yet, so it is still feels somewhat of a soft opening, although it's been a few months. There were a few mistakes made but they seemed to be reviewing and making genuine efforts to correct in real time. I only gave the food a 3 star because the waitress didn't ask how she wanted her hamburger steak cooked. Half of it was probably a medium and the other half was rare. Everything else was very good for our party. I love the atmosphere here!

The Board Room is a great experience. We've been there twice and each time was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service could not have been better. The atmosphere is elegant and nicely quiet for a great dining experience. The new management is greatly improved over the previous people. We stopped going to The Bull and Thistle because of rude hosts and servers. The Board Room is a breath of fresh air! We are due for a return trip and it's hard to wait. The first trip was so good that I had the same food on the second trip. I'll try something new next time.t

I came in town from Texas and my family picked this restaurant. Our server, Nick was informative and gave great suggestions. The mushroom and onion soup was AMAZING! I wouldn't mind if you shared the recipe with me.
