After being urged by several Helen’s Fans we stopped in for the third 2026 Lenten fish fry review. We seated ourselves and after a bit of a wait we were greeted by a very friendly server. Love that we had an option of how many pieces of fish to order, we just had two pieces with hush puppies onion rings and broccoli. Fish was fantastic, onion rings were way over cooked. Broccoli was nice. I didn’t try the hush puppies since I was so full from the fish and broccoli. We will be back, the burgers looked amazing. I see why this is a favorite place to dine.

This place is truly amazing. We was greeted at the door with a smile. Engaged very well with our table and personally introduced. Everyone was very friendly and helpful if needed. I entered this place with someone with an intellectual disability and they went above and beyond to be inclusive when speaking and engaging. That alone spoke volumes. Now on the to food and service. The catfish was outstanding. Everything was hot and fresh. Our cups never empty. You can not get any fresher food or at the price we paid there. I will definitely be returning as well as getting others to follow. The portion are large as well in my opinion. Plenty to bring home. The dessert I got for home as well is outstanding. This place was surprisingly fantastic! Greeted soon as we walked in, excellent service from our server Reagan, she was great. I had the open roast beef sandwich dinner and the lady got the hamburger steak meal. Both was amazing! Would definitely highly recommend if u enjoy country cooking in a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️from my family. Almost forgot to mention the pricing was great as well. Keep it up

Our first time at Helen’s, I picked up our food. My husband got the all American burger and onion rings. I ordered pippin Chicken which is grilled tenders with bacon and cheese on top served with honey mustard, mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken tenders were so tough I literally could not eat them, the bacon was literally bacon bits which I would not have ordered it if said that in the menu, green beans tastes like they were cooked with vinegar and the mashed potatoes tastes like a mix or real and instant potatoes. My husbands burger meat was dry. His toppings were correct and he got some onion rings. I was able to pick around my chick and get one chicken tender total. If I had been eating in the restaurant this food would have definitely went back, I ask my husband if he was in

I really had high hopes for this place. I have heard SO many good things about it. But it's a pass for me. I ordered the "pot roast" and was highly disappointed. The roast tasted like it came from a box and was very dry. The potatoes had almost a gluey texture and were definitely instant, very off putting but the flavor was good. The green beans had a very strong vinegar taste. The corn bread was as dry as a Popeyes biscuit. The only redeeming factor was dessert. I got the lemon cake and it was absolutely delicious. It was soft and the lemon wasn't overpowering but you knew it was there. Id go back for that cake but as far as food goes, I wouldn't recommend
