I attended an all-day retreat led by Lisa Maas at The Blue Heron today. The meeting area was comfortable, well-decorated and spotless. The view out of the windows is amazing: barns, fields, trees, grazing goats, flowers. The owners of the B&B are gracious and friendly. They fed us a bountiful country breakfast and lunch, including homemade breads, and when we thought we could never eat again, they showed up with an amazing pumpkin dessert. If time had allowed I would have explored the area in some walking shoes. I left feeling satisfied both physically and spiritually. Thank you Liz and Connie, for a wonderful day!

We had the best time at the Blue Heron! We stayed in the separate area called the Heron’s Nest I believe and it was perfect! All the amenities and privacy of home with the added benefit of warm cookies and other desserts brought over in the evening! The Blue Heron is deep enough in the country to complete the peaceful and rejuvenating experience, while being close enough to town for an easy trek in for dinner or sight seeing. There’s a beautiful creek with lots of shallow waterfalls that I could sit next to all day, and the goats were precious! Finally, Liz and Connie could not have been more sweet or accommodating! It was such a lovely place, and we look forward to staying there again soon!!!

Excellent setting, accommodations and hosts. Though we were there in January we still enjoyed walking on their property and seeing the stream and series of small falls. Stayed for two nights and breakfast was delicious both mornings. Liz asked about special food requests/needs and helped us feel comfortable,as did Connie, throughout our stay. We hope to go back in the spring or fall to see the grounds in all their glory. Our sons enjoyed seeing the goats and dogs and the entire time there was simply pleasant and relaxing. Liz is also good at leaving nice surprises such as banana pudding, to be found when you return to the grounds.

Wendy and I would like to thank you for the wonderful time we spent exploring all of the historic venues of the city of Granbury but also enjoying your hospitality and beautiful facility. The view of the lake was exhilarating and the uniqueness and warmth of your home itself was especially appreciated. Our trip was wonderful and the time we spent with you two discussing the state of the world and our personal experiences was something unexpected but was truly gratifying. We definitely will extol the virtues of visiting the city of Granbury and staying at your Bed and Breakfast since we know others will arrive at the same conclusion we did of having a wonderful time. Although Wendy and I were a tad tired when we arrived home, we both felt that we had a relaxing time as well as an inform

My girlfriend went to Berea for a daylong conference and we decided to turn it into a weekend. I'm more familiar with grand city hotels, but she suggested a B&B, and I found the Blue Heron online. ||||We drove in on Friday afternoon and met Connie and Liz, who couldn't have been more gracious, hospitable, or knowledgeable about the area. The home itself is a gorgeous steamboat Gothic edifice overlooking a series of fenced goat pastures and a strip of woods separating the pastures from a wide creek. There's a wonderful front porch, and rooms full of books that brought back memories of my great-grandmother's farmhouse north of Cincinnati. We stayed in the Meadow Room, which was big and sunny, with a paddle fan spinning overhead and a surprisingly big jacuzzi in the bathroom.||||Breakfast bot
