Excellent breakfast at The Black Pearl, Rangeley this morning. I had the eggs Benedict, my wife had the skillet oats with maple and a slice of French toast. My friend had the sausage biscuit sandwich sans egg. All really good. Extra props for perfectly cooked home fries. These ones aren't crispy. But they're super buttery and soft. I highly recommend trying their breakfast!
The food was so good. Clam chowder, with haddock tacos znd chips. Diego, our waiter, brought over a basket of chips and salsa while we waited, a short time for our chowder. All of the food tasted great. They were all nicely presented. Whenever we are in Rangley again, we will definitely stop here again. Diego was great. He checked on us many times. Very polite.
We had a lovely time eating a late lunch at The Black Pearl. Our server was attentive and we received great service. He checked in on us several times. My partner and I loved the dishes, they were flavorful and everything was priced at a fair rate. In particular we loved the sweet potato French fries! They were so crunchy. We will definitely be back when we visit Rangeley again.
5 of us went for dinner. Seated at 6:04 and received dinner at 7:30. Slow service and place was not crowded. If kitchen was backed Up they should have mentioned and given us the option if we wanted to wait or not. Food was subpar.. 3 burgers ordered medium all came well done. Fries were cold. Ordered the gourmet kettle chips as listed on menu and received capecod chips. Ordered a glass of wine that was delivered in a small juice size glass.. and i mean small. Could not have been more than. 4oz pour. Never again.
Stopped for lunch and got a table on the deck. Weather was perfect. Server very friendly and attentive. We had fish tacos and a bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. I’d recommend you stop and try them out.
