The Big Greek Cafe

I stopped into Big Greek Cafe in Owings Mills while I was in town on business and was really glad I did. If you are looking for Mediterranean food that is fresh, flavorful, and filling, this place is a great choice. The restaurant itself is more of a fast casual style setup, nothing fancy inside, but do not let that fool you because the food was excellent. I started with the falafel appetizer, which came with five falafel balls, tzatziki sauce, and a fresh little lettuce and tomato mix on the side. The falafel was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, warm inside, and very fresh tasting. The tzatziki was a great match and everything had a clean, homemade flavor. Amazing food! The gyro was fresh and the meat was tender. The fries were so crispy and everything was reasonably priced. It was very filling and it was just so good. The girl behind the counter was very attentive and brought everything right to our table. I will definitely be returning!

Good Greek food if that’s what’s you are into! Greek fries were ok. Greek rice pudding tasted like regular rice pudding. Gyros were good.

We tried out the new Greek restaurant and we were not disappointed!!!! First, I was so happy to see how busy they were. We were there around 7p on a Sunday, they were packed, and people just kept coming in. Always a great sight with a new restaurant! As we waited for our food, I overheard friends talking to each other and the one saying she comes all the time and gets the same thing every time bc it is so good. (Btw, she gets the Greek salad with chicken!) We ate the Greek bowl with chicken, feisty feta, and the Greek fries. I can see why that person eats there routinely!! Our food was amazing!!!!! Really upset. I usually order the Salmon Greek Salad 2–4 times a month; however, I will never order from this place again. Recently, I ordered the Salmon Greek Salad, and as I was eating it, I kept feeling like something was off. I looked down and realized my salmon was cooked on the outside and completely raw on the inside. I was disgusted. I reached out to the team members and managers, and nobody showed empathy, sympathy, or care. Nobody acknowledged my concerns, and as a result, I will not be returning—and I advise others not to return either. Not because of an accident, but because they have no customer care, no decorum, and no accountability. Do you want people like that handling your food.
