The Belle-Jim Hotel

With this review, I want to start by saying I truly loved the food....it was delicious. Unfortunately, it was served cold. I also noticed the restaurant wasn’t very clean; there was trash on the floor, and the trash can in the bathroom was full. It felt as though the space hadn’t been properly cleaned from the night before. The service was okay. We weren’t asked how our food was cooked, nor were we checked on to see if we needed anything else to drink, so there was a bit of slack in hospitality there. As someone with experience in the traveling hospitality world, I understand how busy things can get. That said, food temperature, cleanliness, and attentive service really do make a difference in the overall experience. One additional suggestion would be to consider adding a menu option for

FABULOUS dining experience! Every dish was beautifully plated and served to match the quality and superb flavors of every item. The Smoked Tomato Soup was incredible, the Wedge Salad with blue cheese, bacon and pecans was a masterpiece. The Irish Whiskey pork chops were perfection and the molten lava cakes were astounding. What a GEM of a restaurant on the Courthouse Square in downtown Jasper, TX. DON'T MISS THIS if you are in the area or even BETTER - make it a road trip destination, you won't be disappointed!

The bread pudding really went downhill. What happened? I ordered 3 to go and it was basically squared sections of crust and not very much flavor. It used to be really good.

We didn't stay there but it's a really nice old place. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food is phenomenal! Family owned and operated. Highly recommend!

We had breakfast in the restaurant. The good and service were excellent. I had the barbacoa omelette and my honey had the French toast with eggs. We were pleased.
