The Belfry

We stopped in for dinner while visiting on a ski trip. It was a cool old time style ski pub inside with some nice local flair. It was busy and we were lucky to get a seat at the bar. The servers a bartenders were very friendly and accommodating and made sure the food I ordered was safe for me to eat, due to food allergies. I tried the local hockey mom seltzer which was tasty and not too sweet. For my meal I had the maple cider pork chop which was the perfect portion and delicious. The pork was tender and the glaze was the perfect touch. The home made apple sauce was a nice addition and was so fresh. Finally the garlic green beans were a top choice to round out this dinner. If we have time we will go back because apparently they have the best burger in town and it sells out everyday.

The first words from hostess were, do you have a reservation? We didn’t and she said that was fine, they had plenty of tables indoors. Then she recommended we take a picture of their blackboard specials, she said most guests do. Made me giggle inside, why can’t our server tell us but I took the pic. We were seated quickly and our server was very nice. My husbands burger was exactly how he ordered it, my Asian salad was actually better than I thought except it was missing mandarin organs, they didn’t offer them I’m just expressing how I usually see this dish with them but the dressing made up for it, very good. I had only wanted an appetizer but the wings were boned and server said the chicken tenders were frozen, so the salad was the right choice. We would stop back here if in area again.

Great food with great desserts, staff friendly and good portion sizes. Fills up quick so a reservation isn't s bad idea .

Such a cute little place. Service is great, food is amazing and priced well, and the best part was the 24/7 live deer feed on the tv!!

Ordered the linguine with Pomodoro sauce (supposedly) and meatballs. The Pomodoro sauce tasted and had the texture of straight up tomato paste - minced tomatoes with sugar. The meatballs were meat with whatever held them together and that's about it. I was hungry and so I ate it but I don't think I had a 4.3 star experience.
