The Beaumont Inn

My husband and I ate in an igloo! The atmosphere was beautiful. It was a snowy night. Nice and warm in the igloo. Service was fantastic. Food was fantastic. I'm anxious to go again! We did not stay overnight in one of their rooms. We live 40 minutes from the restaurant so it was an easy drive.

The bed was the worst we have ever encountered, and we've stayed at a lot of hotels and motels over the years. It collapsed so badly in the middle that we had to stuff a chair cushion under the mattress to try to keep from rolling into the middle. The bed might be original equipment from 1948. Avoid this place until they replace their mattresses!|On the other hand, the restaurant was very good. Beautiful outdoor patio. Good food. Good service. |Eat here, but don't stay here.

Visited for the 1st time last night, husband and I had a reservation for one of their igloos as an early Valentine’s dinner. Hostess took us to the igloo, let us in, and walked away without saying anything. Inside, there were NO lights on, we had to turn on the touch lamp on the table ourselves and later found the LED tea lights in the lanterns above the table all had dead batteries so no lights there. The worst part though was they did not pre-heat it. It was freezing inside with 2 little heaters turned off, we had to turn them on ourselves. Personally, I’d expect when having a reservation for an igloo and the website says they are “heated & warm”, it would be heated for your arrival. Not impressed I had salmon which was tasty but the rice was cold sent it back came back just as cold. Service was ok. In no hurry to return. Alter House in Clarks Summit much better.

The staff here is incredible. They were all very pleasant and accomadating. The bar was very nice and the food was even better. The bedrooms were beautiful and very clean. I highly recommend this place!
