The Barley House

Soup was really good. Good environment and social bartender and owners. Great spot to stop solo or with a group. Good music.

Went here once a while ago but decided to try it again. The wife saw a few things on the online menu so we gave it another chance. It was a rainy Wednesday early evening and I decided to park at the low side of the parking. Went inside and staff was great. Asked and sat a a booth. Got drinks that were great. Ordered a spicy flatbread that we were warned was REALLY spicy. We take responsibility for that. Got a chicken rice bowl that was great. We would definitely go back but next time there is a chance of rain ill have to wear something waterproof to above the ankles. Drove home with soaked feet but not the end of the world.

Come for the "What about Bob?" painting and stay for the short rib grilled cheese! We came here after ice skating on New Years Eve with a large group of families. Our waitress was kind and courteous, made it easy to sit as a group but separate out our checks (let them know in advance). We ate delicious meals, hearty and filling, and played games when we'd finished. A decent crowd for early afternoon, most seemed like that they'd been there before. My only qualm was there were limited options for vegetarians (my daughter is one). We would definitely return if we were in the neighborhood. (Even though we weren't local, we were not hassled.) PS- They've also got a Sandlot painting, and a large photo of Kensico Dam.

Tonight was our first visit to the Barley House. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and desserts, found it all tasty and well prepared, the staff and service was friendly, and accoridng to my wife, its was some of best fish and chips she has had.

First time visiting and we loved! We tried the Hangouver Burger from Brunch menu and was absolutely delicious! This place have a great vibe, rock music and the service was fantastic!
