The Baker Nextdoor

The Baker Nextdoor is our new favorite go to when we have a celebration to host or when our sweet tooth is craving a fixing. From the cakes to the cup cakes, my family and friends have been extremely impressed with the quality, taste, design, and service that Caitlin delivers. Her double chocolate chip cake is an absolute showstopper. She is truly performing at another level that has the potential to put Severn on the map in the dessert world. So happy we found The Baker Nextdoor!

We had dairy-free Oreo cupcakes for a work/birthday event from The Baker Nextdoor and they were amazing. Not only did they look really good, they tasted really great too. I would highly reccommend cakes and cupcakes for any occassion!

I got a heart shaped carrot cake. The cake was ok. It crumbled and had some big carrot shavings, but it was soft! The cake didn’t really match the reference photo, but it wasn’t too bad either! It wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but it was a good alternative. I wanted more ribbon like piping, and I had it modified because the flowers didn’t match the reference. Update: I threw up after eating this cake? It was transported just fine, with the ac blasting, and refrigerated as soon as I got to my destination. The baker informed me that she’s also made similar two hour drives in the summer, and the cake was just fine. Threw the cake out and due to distance, wasn’t able to drop the rest of the cake off for a refund . The baker was kind, but do your research and ask for more transparency on what

I have been using Caitlin for over a year now and she has made 4 cakes for me. They are always well decorated and taste delicious. I highly recommend this home baker to anyone looking for a locally made cake.

My family had a wonderful reunion for which we ordered six dozen of Caitlin's customized cookies for Chinese New Year. They were the hit of the dessert table; each one really a work-of-art, so beautifully and perfectly decorated...and did I mention how delicious they are?! We are planning a St. Patrick's Day celebration and can't wait to see what she has in store for the month of March.
