The Avenue

We found this wonderful B&B when looking for a place to stay close to the start of the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Sue is a lovely hostess and made a scrumptious coffee cake for us to enjoy sitting on the porch for breakfast!!! She, Jack, and Jeff gave us great recommendations for local restaurants on both nights we were there. They have all you need in the room and everything else is available in the spacious kitchen. The weather was terrific for two days of long bike rides and we had a super time. Thank you all so much for making us feel welcome.

This house was very clean, the landscaping was gorgeous and the room was very comfortable. I knew it was a continental breakfast, which is very unusual for a " bed and breakfast". My husband and I stay in many bed and breakfasts and there is always a beautiful full hot amazing breakfast with the company of the host and other guests with a beautifully set table. It was disappointing to find a couple little boxes of cereal, two little containers of yogurt and a few slices of store bought raison bread, no butter cream cheese or jelly.. Considering the owner runs a catering business would it have been too hard to make a quiche or breakfast casserole ? Maybe good advertising. Also we were told to park in the back and then awakened at 8 :00 in the morning and told to move our car when clear

My sister (coming from VA) & me (coming from NV) found the perfect place to stay n the Avenue Bed & Breakfast, Lock Haven. The rooms were spacious & very clean. The sitting room was comfy for long conversations when the mosquitos were to much on the spacious porch. The kitchen was equipped to where we were able to prepare several meals & entertain our mom for a meal. There are 2 bedrooms & each has their own bath. There are 2 parking spots on property. Jeff was a wonderful host supplying the continental breakfast & towels as needed. Thank you Jeff for a wonderful stay & hopefully our next visit to Lock Haven there will be a room available.

I was denied service because I have a service animal. Then when I protested, the denial was walked back, but they used my service animal to justify it as an extra cleaning fee. Like somehow I was expected to believe that for $200 she (the owner) was going to get the entire place steam cleaned for $200. Not even believable. Also was a clear violation of Airbnb‘s policy. It is right on the website. I told her (Susan) I was an Army veteran, traveling with my daughters, and it didn’t seem to matter. I bet this person will be the first hypocrite tell a veteran “thank you for your service.”

This is a really nice place to stay. We have now returned three times. Always find it very clean and comfortable. Just love the covered porch to relax in evenings and to eat breakfast. Nice large bedroom. Nice clean private bath.|Has a complete kitchen with everything provided should you like to cook. The separate living room is very comfortable. The continental breakfast is fine for usand much appreciated. The people are very nice and happy to answer any questions you may have about the area. It is located an easy walk to the University. We will be making another reservation within the next week. We have stayed in different motels in the area but this has definitely become our favorite place to stay.
