The Athens Cafe & Bar

Today visit was horrible the food was not done I had a chimichanga that is supposed to be fried and was a nasty mess. It was not fried. It looks like they just put the queso on top of it and put it on the plate. No one care was taken of the food at all. My husband had fried catfish and it was not done either and then we witnessed the waitresses cleaning up the breakfast Bar and eating the food off of it and pulling hair and throwing it off of the floor we will not be back to this Restaurant

Really nice little restaurant. I got friendly service when I came for lunch, got a lunch plate for a reasonable $9 and it was PLENTY of food for one person. I was on a long road trip and was grateful for a delicious meal

The prices in the restaurant do not match the prices online. Still not terribly expensive, but each meal is about $13+. The food is mediocre, nothing special. I got it to go. The hostess was very friendly

We made a quick trip to Athens and wanted a good breakfast. The Athens Cafe gave us what we were looking for! I had the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. The batter is great, and the gravy was perfect. Both our eggs came out as we had requested. Toast, grits, bacon, and tomatoes were all good! Really good coffee! We would definitely suggest stopping by if you are in the area.

I usually go here for breakfast, which is pretty good, but I got a chimichanga today and it was freaking delicious.
