The Anchorage

This is a cool place to stop in Sunapee Harbor. There are porch tables where you can have a view of the water and boats. Even the main restaurant has some views. I ordered the wings which were tasty. My husband had the Reuben which was packed with meat and came with fries. I had a cocktail called a Senorita which was raspberry flavored and very refreshing.

Bartender/Waitress was friendly and attentive! My burger cooked medium was perfect and the fries are good. The Asian chicken salad my wife had had twice as much crispy wonton than lettuce, she said the chicken and dressing was okay. The people we came with said the chili was great and not too spicy, caprese was great. Good clam chowder as well!

This is a must stop if you’re looking for a bite on or around Lake Sunapee. Super quaint, right on the water and delicious food make this place a can’t miss. Located directly on the water of Sunapee Harbor it’s picturesque and relaxing. Grab a drink and sip up some sunshine surrounded by water and harbor views. Grab a bowl of chowder and a burger or sit down for some delicious haddock or Salmon. The Anchorage is not likely to disappoint. You might even get a surprise visit by Sunapee’s own Steven Tyler.

Nice restaurant right on the water. I had the haddock sandwich which was chock full of haddock! You could choose grilled fried or black ones which is a nice option I requested mayo instead of tarter sauce but ended up with tarter sauce anyway. My husband got the turkey sandwich and sweet potato fries. It came with a really unique chipotle dipping sauce, I really liked it! My husband preferred ketchup however. I will go back. The menu has lots of choices and the food was good. A great casual place to eat.

The restaurant is cozy with outdoor seating on the deck with an amazing view of the lake but the food does not match up to the vibe. The quality of food is bad. Just bad. Service is good but what’s the use!
