The Anchor Restaurant at Beaverdam Marina

I'm sorry ya'll. There is another side to that menu. Somehow, I only got a picture of the one side. I also should have gotten pictures of the meal as it was plated beautifully. It smelled so good, and we were hungry. I ordered the Ahi Tuna. It was excellent. My uncle ordered the meatloaf. It was a generous portion and served with a dipping sauce. He loved it. Another in our group ordered the smash burger. I was told that was excellent as well. Watch the open hours as they aren't serving every day. We arrived around 1:30 pm on thursday. It was clean, casual, and cute. I was impressed.

I had the shrimp bowl yesterday, and it was fabulous. I was afraid the chili aoli in the rice would be too much, but it was perfectly balanced. The shrimp were excellent and the salad just right. Everything on the menu is carefully designed, clean and allergen free. The new owner, Corey, is at your elbow to answer questions and encourage you to try something new. The drive from Anderson was through some beautiful rural areas, and just under an hour. This undiscovered gem is a lovely day trip and boating destination.

Everything was excellent and staff were great including the owner himself. All five of us had lunch. We will definitely go back. I’m not sure of the couple negative reviews but there are always those people that can never be pleased. It is definitely a place worth going to eat at and prices are very reasonable.

If I could give Atmosphere a 10 on here I would. My wife and came for dinner and it was really good. Portions were acceptable and we left full. The lake is beautiful in the evening. We were camping across the lake on the SC side at the state park. Kayaks are nice and easy to rent. Staff is friendly and attentive. We will return a few more times before season ends

You order at a counter. Didn't mind until I saw the menu prices. Those prices deserve full service. I wish I could post a picture of the shrimp bowl. I promise it would just fill up a cup. It tasted ok. The meatloaf was not at all how it sounds. I hope it works out for the owners. But the menu and the prices do not go with the atmosphere.
