New Hunan Buffet

This fine Chinese restaurant simply astounded me. I start with a small portion of several dishes. Usually I'll come across a couple of dishes in the buffet that I really like and endure the rest. Not so here. Every dish I tried was to perfection. Even the desserts were top notch. Combine that with a very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere, and I can say that it was well worth the hour and a half drive-one way.

Our latest visit was a Sunday after "church" and the food was fresh and delicious. I am a former food safety inspector and always look for cleanliness and sanitation and they do a good job of cleaning up after messy people. The best Chinese buffet to me is close to Fort Gordon but this one in Hellberton is one of the good ones

Many Properly cooked shrimp and chicken dishes (not mushy or rubbery), very tasty crab salad and a couple other dishes, nice assortment of fresh fruits. Hot and sour chicken had lots of nice veggies and tasted good, not very spicy though, if that’s what you’re looking for. Everything was quite clean, including the restroom, although those with mobility issues may have problems getting around the narrow hall and doorways to the restrooms. Apparently the central AC was not working properly, but numerous additional floor units throughout the restaurant kept it cool, although a bit “breezy”, blowing around the napkins, etc. All in all, we had a lovely time and will return! We ate dinner there on Valentine's Day and they gave me a rose! It was so sweet!

Love their food! The waitstaff are very kind and efficient. It's clean and the buffet is kept clean and fresh. I come every chance I get.
