Thai Submongkol Naka

Food was amazing! We did the lunch special. I had yellow curry and pad Thai. The service was a 10/10 and the staff are the sweetest. Definitely recommend and will return!

Thai Submongkoi Naka in Peculiar, Missouri, is truly a hidden gem! This restaurant is a best-kept secret for a reason—their Tom Yum soup is extraordinary, bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. The vegetable fried rice was equally impressive, perfectly cooked and loaded with fresh veggies. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The place was spotless, which added to the overall positive vibe. If you're an out-of-towner, be aware that the location can be a bit tricky to find, but trust me, it's worth the effort! Don’t miss out on this fantastic spot for delicious Thai cuisine!

Great food here! I was a bit confused by how they packed our sticky rice (we got takeout), it was wrapped in seran wrap and both orders were in one container. It was super tasty though. The mango sticky rice was new to me as well but it was super tasty! This is my new local favorite!

5 Star and beyond! What more can I say: place never, ever disappoints. Have had it a dozen times now since I moved in August 2025, and every dish, every encounter, every bite…. Better than the last. If you live nearby or even in the the surrounding KC area: give it a try…. You’ll like the Thai :)

I ordered the seafood fried rice, crab rangoon and Thai iced tea. The absolute best was the crab rangoon with the sweet chili sauce. The seafood in the fried rice was over cooked and had none of the flavor. The rice was over cooked and mushy, but it did have a good flavor. I also ordered my seafood fried rice with mild spice. Apparently this means you don't want any spice at all. As for the Thai tea.. what do I say?? It was a very odd flavor. The bright orange color was quite unnerving. I have had good Thai food and this is not it.
