Thai Spice

Our family’s visit to Thai Spice was a mixed experience overall. The appetizers, such as spring rolls and satay, were enjoyable, and dishes like basil chicken, Tom Yum soup, and papaya salad were solid enough to recommend. However, the Fried Rock Cod Fillet with Chili Garlic Sauce and Sweet Basil fell short in both quality and presentation, leaving us disappointed. Both dinner and lunch courses showed potential but lacked refinement, and the inconsistencies between takeout pricing and dine‑in service added to the frustration. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, but the main courses, while flavorful, lacked the authentic touch we were hoping for. First time in Los Gatos on a business trip and was just looking for a good meal that wouldn’t break the bank. Found Thai Spice at the end of my walk and decided to check it out. The place was busy with takeout orders, and most of the tables were full—a promising sign. Been craving Pad Thai for a while, so I went for it. No regrets! The portion was generous, the noodles were perfectly tender, and the flavor and aroma really stood out, definitely challenging other Thai restaurants I’ve tried. Worth coming back to—highly recommended!

They do not have their own parking but there is street parking. Lunch isn't too busy but maybe it's because it's still early? The lunch specials are a fair price and nicely portioned. The soup and salad they serve with lunch are basic but tasty! I got the yellow curry lunch special, it was flavorful, very mild spiciness to it, and a little on the ticker side. I also got pad see ew, because who doesn't like noodles.... it tasted a chard but I don't mind. Noodles were cooked perfectly. It's a large portion which is great. Service is as expected for a thai place. Overall, I would come back. Good prices for portions and food was good.

Angel wings, Green papaya salads, & Seafood pot soup are great! White rice cooked in a proper way, not too soft or too hard. The chief special we ordered, Asparagus mix vegetables with beef is a bit disappointed…… One of the asparagus skin is too old for chewing & the beef meat is not tender enough to enjoy 😬 Overall, it is still delicious! If you like spicy, sweet & sour, it is not a bad choice to visit!😄😁😃

Every visit to Thai Spice is like a trip abroad. The decor and staff are super friendly and welcoming, they make the dining experience. The food was fresh, spicy and so flavorful. The house special fried rice that comes in a pineapple was to die for. Thai Spice is my go-to Thai restaurant.
