First Born

We were there for a birthday dinner. The space was striking and left an impression on entrance. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed the small plates and there was plenty to go around. The waiters were attentive and served promptly. I only wish the plates were not served so quickly together. It would have given us more time to enjoy the dishes and the conversation. They were kind enough to serve us a birthday dessert to share….on the house. It was delicious. A big negative, however, is its sanitation score. We should have checked it before we booked. On the way to the restroom, we had to pass the kitchen window. The putrid smell was overpowering and I wish I had mentioned something to the host. When we got home, two of us had an upset stomach, though the rest of us were fine.

We recently had a fantastic time dining at First Born, and the experience was truly memorable thanks to their innovative food and unique presentation. The creativity on the menu is immediately apparent. A highlight for us was definitely the burger experience, where the delivery via "burger bots" added a unique and fun modern twist to an already delicious dish. Beyond the novelty, the quality of the burger itself was excellent. We also thoroughly enjoyed the noodles, which were perfectly prepared and deeply flavorful, proving that their menu mastery goes beyond their signature concepts. Nice decor restaurant and spacious. Good service, delicious food. Definitely recommend! I'm Vietnamese. I love real Vietnamese flavorful food and they deliver. They are all delicious but the sticky fingers could be better. - As you wish: Roti chicken with ube sticky rice. Freshly made per order so it might take longer. - Sticky fingers: fish sauce chicken wings. Maybe a tad salty. It could be better. - Shaking beef: really good flavor! - Rice bites: yummy. - Salted crema coffee: good Vietnamese coffee - Palisade pumpkin cocktail: it's surprisingly good, well balanced.

The food was solid and full of flavor, and the cocktails were crafted with care — balanced, bold, and on point. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The interior decor? Stunning. Thoughtfully designed with a clear attention to ambiance. That said, we were seated outside despite having a reservation. The outdoor area lacked the same charm and atmosphere as the inside, making the experience feel like a noticeable downgrade. It’s a place worth visiting, but make sure your table matches the vibe you came for.

We set a Sunday brunch reservation for the live DJ because we wanted to party while we ate. The food is fusion Vietnamese and was true to the flavor with all the dishes we tried. The bun xeo tacos, pho fries, fried chicken with pandan waffles and cafe sua da syrup, and banh mi burger all carried the essence of their original dishes flavors. Their mixologists are very good. All our cocktails were satisfying. Service was friendly and happy. We were late for our reservation so they had to give it away, but they were able to accommodated us in a reasonable amount of time.
