Testo Pepesto Italian Restaurant

Haven’t explored La Mesa eateries over the last 8 years, wow there is another whole side of Big Backness awaiting me. Especially Testo Pepesto Italian restaurant. I stumbled across the tram at a private food tasting even on Mt. Helix. The host was energetic and confident I’d enjoy anything off the menu. So next day I made it my mission to try it. The only reason for a 4 is parking and the passerby’s who were rather disturbing on the patio seating facing the street. So I elected to eat inside, other than that, portion size good for a big back, flavor -wow, service attentiveness -check, and the pricing very good. If you don’t frequent the La Mesa area, and you don’t have lunch or dinner plans…visit this place and you won’t be disappointed.

Had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious — everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell they care about quality and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Tanya and Cindy for the amazing service. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for truly great Italian food and a lovely dining experience. I will definitely be coming back!

Is The best Italian restaurant in the area. The spaghetti with meat ball is amazing taste. The sandwich is outstanding and the portion is big. Chicken wings are nice, abit salty to me. The restaurant is nice and outdoor area is beautiful. Highly recommended.

I used to eat here. Frequently. The food quality has gone. Very down hill. Rough cooking from previous gentle well prepared. The breaded chicken is tough, tastes like leather The eggplant is fried in a rough bread and is ruined by the bread. Three Months ago I had an Uber delivery. It went to the wrong house . When it was located, the Alfredo Sauce was broken down and terrible. The owner is no longer here. The food quality has gone from 4 star to zero stars. Delivery is terrible. I could not eat the breaded Eggplant.

Went in on a Friday afternoon, the place was super busy. We were seated after a few minutes. The gentleman that sat and served us was great. The food was delicious. This is our usual pizza place. This day was extremely busy but the gentleman managed well, thank you for that. We had three cheese pizza, a couple of salads and heavenly lobster Mac and cheese. I love the food and service. Thank you Testo!!!
