Taverna

We stopped in at Taverna in Bayview and were blown away! The food tasted just like something you’d find in a tucked-away Italian village. The lasagna was rich and comforting, the spicy pasta had the perfect kick, and the pizza was a huge hit with the kids — thin crust, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly without rushing us. You can tell they care about quality and presentation. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Great food and beautiful atmosphere. We had a reservation at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday and they were out of some things. Also, we were never brought bread and the server said that they only gave it out when they had an abundance of it. Overall it was a good experience and good food. We will come back.

Had a nice date night out. They have a lovely patio. Nice decor too. The patio is dog friendly. Our waitress was ok. I asked some questions about the menu and she didn't know. Food was good. Pretty rich and large servings. I loved their Huckleberry lemonade. The food was well worth the price. We had a nice time. Plenty of parking. Oh! I forgot the bread! Their bread was AMAZING!

Went in tonight with my girlfriend to celebrate our 7 months. I was excepting a nice fancy restaurant. It was a far cry from that. You could tell of course they tried to dress it up as a nice. But it’s done very cheaply. The baskets on the wall still had the plastic tie hanging off it that the tag was attached to. The bottle of water they leave on the table to refill your glass was plastic and still had the tag on the bottom. I felt it was more like a bar than a nice restaurant. Our waitress was dressed like a bar tender, jeans, tank top and slippers. Not at all what you’d expect. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and unfortunately they were so salty you could hardly eat them. The Caesar salad was ok but lacking flavor. We came to Taverna for our anniversary and we were blown away! We each got a pasta dish, the Tuscan shrimp and the birria pasta - both absolutely amazing, we ate every bite. We finished off the meal with the chocolate chip cookie skillet while admiring the views out the windows. Very personable staff and service! We can’t wait to come back and recommend this place to others!
