Tavern on the Hill 305

Good menu choices and very kind, attentive waitstaff. That said, our first experience about a month ago included an undercooked chicken sandwich. I get that Fridays can be busy, but this was at 4pm with the place at maybe 25% capacity. I went back this afternoon for a drink and bowl of chili at the bar. About a quarter of the way through, I found a thick black hair in my chili, easily six inches long. I called the bartender over so she could watch as I pulled it out. She took the bowl back but didn’t say a word. When she cashed me out, still nothing mentioned. She was busy, and she’s usually great, but the way she reacted made it feel like this wasn’t the first time it has happened. The atmosphere and front of house staff are always amazing, and we’ll likely still stop in for drinks, but

The food here is really good and from the times I've been, the wait for a table has been less than 5 minutes. I got a pizza and it was very tasty. It can be a bit noisy but nothing crazy. There are many seating options, from high top, booths, and bars.

I thought overall the food and service was good. It was a little busy when we went and had to wait for a little bit. I thought the menu had a good variety of choices. I had the chicken tender app and a cup of haddock soup. The chicken was good. A little chewy, but flavor was good. The soup tasted a little bland. My kids thought the food was good overall as well. I was going to try one of their mixed drink but really didn't find the menu until after we already ordered. Would have liked to have tried Lindsay's landslide. Maybe next time.

I don’t give out five stars very often at this place was AMAZING 👍🏼👍🏼 easy to find plenty of parking. They are remodeling on the outside of the building. The inside looks incredible. The hostess was very kind and friendly. Our waitress was so sweet to my daughter it was my her birthday she highly recommended (lobster Benedict) my daughter said she had never tasted anything so good. She wouldn’t even give me a bite. Lol She said she couldn’t have gone to a better restaurant for her 17th birthday. The atmosphere is very friendly and open. I got the steak and eggs and the steak was delicious two thumbs up I highly recommend going there for any occasion the prices were very reasonable. I met both of the owners very friendly easy to talk to, told me all about their business.

We heard the pizza was excellent so tried it last night. The pizza was completely burned. The crust and all the toppings were burned as well. Brought it to our servers attention and she said because it’s loaded it takes longer to cook? Needless to say we left most of it on the table. Service however was excellent.
