Tarntip Thai Cuisine

My wife and I have been coming to Tarntip in Fredericksburg for over 10 years and it’s always a solid choice. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. This time I got the Thai beef fried rice medium spicy and it was excellent. Great flavor and cooked perfectly. The spring rolls are always crisp and delicious too. My wife ordered the Yum Nua and she loved it. We ordered online and did pickup, and everything was ready and packaged well. Plenty of seating inside if you dine in. Overall, a reliable Thai spot we’ll keep coming back to.

I wanted to like Tarntip Thai Cuisine, but the experience fell short. The vibe of the restaurant was chaotic in a way that makes you wonder if the clutter is part of the décor. Open boxes everywhere, large pans and cookware drying on tables, and the entire back section of the restaurant is partially blocked off (I’m being generous here) but still very visible had me thinking, if this is what we can see….what does the kitchen look like?? The Thai iced tea was good, and honestly the only thing that made me feel like I could stick around. The pad Thai was overly sweet, soggy, and missing that perfect mix of crispy, salty, and savory that makes the dish worth ordering. I Heard people been talking about padthai at this place so good so today i tried for the first time, the texture of the noodle is good firm and chewy, but its a lil too sweet and they didn’t even give you lime… to sour it down. Just give people a head up so can order it with less sugar or an extra piece of lime. Oh and there is too much oil in the noodles, thats a big no when you try to eat healthy.

The tiny amount of food wont feed a toddler! It literally feels like left over that was ate over! Not worth the money! They lacking big time/ a white guy owns it and he cutting corners and has no concern for customer satisfaction! Check ur before u leave and pay after! Trouble

The food has fallen off significantly. Ordered crispy chicken, medium spice. Only spice was salt. Inedible, tossed it in the trash. They used to be good, but last few orders before tonight have been meh at best. Mushy rice, inconsistent spice, etc. Tonight was the deal breaker.
