The 1890 Caroline House

My wife and I did an overnight stay on the weekend. Stayed in the Luke Henry suite. Incredible. Lavendar/purple theme, but very tasteful. Full en suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate vanity and shower. was beautifully decorated. Had an electric fireplace, great mattress on king size bed, comfortable sleeping. Great location at start of tourist strip, less than 15 minute walk to most places. There is no parking, have to park 2 blocks away at sister inn, Richard Johnston. You have access to kitchen for snacks, bars, oatmeal, coffee, tea. Staff was accommodating, informative and beyond welcoming. Fresh cooked breakfast in the morning by Marissa was delicious. My wife ate the whole thing and she doesn't do breakfasts. Going back for Christmas. Plenty to see and do in F

We stayed in the William Riley suite for an anniversary overnight. When we arrived Zachary helped us check in. He’s very nice and was quite helpful showing us our accommodations. |The suite itself is nicely appointed. The bathroom is spacious and water pressure in shower is nice. We arrived on a warm day and they definitely kept it nice and cool. We brought a bottle of wine and sodas and were able to keep them chilled in a mini fridge. We enjoyed the bottle on the patio outside of our suite. |The only issue I have is with the mattress. It’s quite hard and the pillows aren’t great. Wow! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Perfection. The staff and the manger were so caring. The room was romantic and stunning. The breakfast was different every morning, and each breakfast was an absolute treat. Shout-out to the bourbon waffles with bourbon blue berry sauce!

Just spent a quick night here breaking up a drive up the coast and it was the perfect place to stop and rest. The house and room were beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Nice hot showers and the whirlpool tub and fireplace in our suit were a lovely bonus to make our stay extra cozy. Had hot tea and snacks in the kitchen before bed. And they were able to accommodate my vegan diet with a breakfast option. Would love to come back for a longer visit!

We’ve stayed here at least a dozen times. The food, rooms, and service is excellent. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We would normally give this a five Star rating which we have in the past. However, one complaint. Over time, the rates have gone up, which is true for everything so we understand that. However, a new feature is charging a dollar for a bottle of water. This is just downright tacky and beneath a place of this caliper. It wouldn’t hurt you to provide water for guests like you do coffee. I think the vast majority of people staying in your fine Establishment are not going to drink bottled water in excess. Clearly, the cost of bottled water is more than covered by the rate increases over time, since it’s purchased at Costco.
