Tara's Place

Great service, employees are very nice and helpful. The building and inside are remodeled and modern. Food was sad and lackluster. I am not sure if it was just what we ordered, but everyone else in the establishment seemed to enjoy their meals. My Wife's side salad and my main Club Salad both had burnt croutons (you can see how dark some are on the photos.) And the bacon on the club was burnt as well. I also had a cup of the minestrone soup, and when it was served to me, it was barely warm, like it was left to cool for a toddler. I sent it back, and it was popped into a microwave, I heard it go off and then it was returned to the table. My Wife's finger steaks we super chewy and had no flavor. She also asked to add cheese to her tots and they didn't melt it. We were both so sad to see

Stopped in for a hearty breakfast. The classic eggs Benedict is great. Service is prompt, coffee good and easy going hometown atmosphere. Fan of homemade jam too.

Looking for an excellent, off the beaten path place to eat... "Tara's Place" is it ! Warm, friendly, greeting by staff, excellent overall service, food portions large and very tasty. Chicken Fried Steak "CFS" on the menu was outstanding. Would highly recommend. Will return.

Great service, fantastic food. Worth the drive from Nampa!

The food was excellent. We had the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast that was seasoned to perfection and the best in Idaho and Oregon. Everything we ordered reminded me of what restaurants tasted like over 40 years ago. We also ordered the Patty Melt and the sourdough was grilled to perfection and the wagyu burger full of flavor. They were able to get my tater tots extra crispy and not oily. Our server was friendly like we were a guest in her home. The restaurant felt like an updated hometown diner and clean. Love this place and definitely worth the short drive from Payette for such excellent food!
