Taqueria Los Gallos

Tried the sopes by the recommendation of a friend and they were SO GOOD! They were loaded up with a good amount of fajita meat and toppings. The sope itself was soft but crispy which I loved. The red salsa was good and spicy. Recommend!

I visited Taqueria Los Gallos with high expectations based on the positive reviews but unfortunately left disappointed. I ordered three fajita tacos. two on flour tortillas and one on corn. Although the menu mentions homemade tortillas, they tasted closer to store bought. The meat portions were generous, but the flavor and texture were not enjoyable. The fajita meat was mushy and reminded me more of ground beef than traditional fajita. (Suggest you drench with salsa to mask the disappointing taste) I also ordered a chicken quesadilla for my child, but it had an unusual taste that made it unappealing. The rice and beans were another letdown. Both lacked seasoning, and the rice tasted more like plain white rice than Mexican style rice. For a drink, I tried the lemonade. I specifically as

This is my favorite taco place in all of Houston and surrounding areas. They have the best seasoning, from the fajitas to the pastor the flavor is the best. The barbacoa is also great. We never pass up their Tacos Rancheros. My son enjoys their hamburger with fries. They also make a great horchata. This is by far the most consistent and most flavorful taco truck we have been too. We alone Pablo and his family they always treat us great and serve us quickly. Also the green sauce is the best here, super smooth and creamy and very spicy.
