Tandoori Trail - Smithfield

We tried this place for the first time on a rainy day/evening. The food tasted good but our fish and chicken dish was overcooked and dry. The service was attentive and friendly. The establishment was clean but the roof was leaking in the dining area and luckily bot onto any tables.

Finally! A place to get some wonderfully flavorful food closer to Goldsboro! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to find this gem empty and for the life of me. I don’t know why. The food was very good. There are three vegan options on the menu. We tried the Begain Bartha and Dal Tadka with a vegetable samosa and plain naan. The food has a great spice level. Hot and good. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

DELICIOUS! We were greeted as soon as we walked in, seated quickly, and treated like family. They were extremely kind, happy, and easy to chat with. When we ordered our food, they gave us a description of each item. And when the food got there?? WOW. It was mouth watering. We loved the flavor profiles and the textures. Amazing all around!

Worth the price! It was so delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. I should've asked for his name, but our server was so kind and sweet. I will be coming again and with more people. This place deserves more customers! I recommend the butter chicken and biryani with mango lassi.

I come from a densely populated area of amazing Indian food so maybe I’m partial but this place won’t be open in a years time. Indian food is not French fries, it’s not iceeberg lettuce, it’s not mostly meat options, it’s not served on old fajita plates, it’s not served with Mexican vegetables. No no no no! This is not Indian food. Go to Cary or Asheville at least. This is to appeal to taste buds of the locals and it won’t last. I ordered a vegetarian dish on the menu. Not available anymore. Then cross it off. My partner order lamb. A few minutes later that’s not available either. His chicken dishes had no flavor. It tastes like boiled chicken. At least mine tasted decent. And at $20 and up per plate it’s a big no. Plate was so hot it took 15 mins to be able to even consume it
