Tandoor Indian Cuisine

My husband and I recently visited this Indian restaurant in Mobile, Alabama. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, and my husband chose the Chicken Fried Rice. I’d like to start on a positive note: my husband really enjoyed his meal. The chicken fried rice was tasty, well-prepared, and satisfying overall. However, my own experience was more mixed. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, and considering that I eat Indian food very frequently and have tried it in many countries, including India, Nepal, Singapore, Turkey, and various cities across the United States, I had higher expectations for a restaurant-style biryani. Ordered veg samosa, garlic naan, chicken jalfrezi and butter chicken. Very happy with the speedy service and the friendly greeting we received upon arrival. Food was very flavorful and tasty. I was pleased with the portion size. Would definitely return if we visited Mobile again.

The restaurant serves delicious and warm food. The price is very reasonable and not overly pricey. We were there for lunch and buffet was great. The service was great. It’s not a romantic or upscale restaurant. If you’re hungry and carving for Indian food this is the place.

Tandoor hands down serves some of the best Indian dishes in town! Their garlic naan is absolute perfection and pairs well with any of their saucy or curry dishes. Their onion pakora and chicken tandoori was particularly flavorful and some of the best I’ve ever tried. This is my new go to Indian spot in town and I highly recommend!

Ordered the Lamb Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic naan and mango lassi. The food was wonderful and flavorful and came out in a very timely manner! Only thing I could say is that they should up the rice portions because by the time the rice is gone, you still have lots of sauce left.
