Tamale Boy Happy Valley

Awesome food, friendly service, and a great location. I grabbed a quick lunch here before doing my grocery shopping and I was very impressed!

I saw the price first and cringed a little. Then I thought about average tamale size and ordered two despite being a little pricier than expected. I only ate one because they are easily three times the size of the average tamale and well worth the (what I now see as) affordable price. The flavor is on point, the filling to masa ratio is perfect (I like heavy on the filling), and the people behind the counter are super friendly. Do yourself a favor and order enough to take home. These tamales are the shiz!

The best tamales we have ever had! Huge portions, great prices and wonderful service and knowledgeable about all of the menu items. Loved every bite and would go back again soon! It’s located inside the Valley Taproom with ample seating indoors and out with a massive bar as well.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars! Post-hike munchies after Mt. Talbert led us straight to Tamale Boy (Happy Valley) and WOW—we’re in love. The al pastor nachos were crispy, cheesy, spicy perfection. The chile verde and tinga tamales were cozy little flavor bombs. Service was super friendly, vibes were chill, and honestly? This might be our new ritual. Tamales + trees + a little weed = heaven. 🌯🌲💨💚

Staff was very friendly. Tamales were delicious. Large portions. We ate the queso fundido while we were there, and took the leftovers home. It heats up very nicely on the stovetop at home.
