Talk of the Towne restaurant

Awesome food. We've been there for four breakfasts and finally had dinner there yesterday. They do everything well.

My review is not meant to be harsh but more accurately informative compared to the dozens of diners I have eaten at across the country. A hard 3/5 is too low but a 4/5 is too high. The server was wonderful. I was immediately tended to upon entry. The place was clean and someone was always ready to help if needed. I ordered a fried seafood platter, and had some carrots on the side with some Cole slaw. The food in general was decent and well cooked (minus two below exceptions). The food felt very generic (as I've had it before and it didn't feel like they were doing anything with it) which isn't a bad thing and is typical of a diner but this diner is priced higher than your average diner so I expected more. This is a true diner experience. Excellent service - very welcoming and well taken care of. The food is good and the salad bar is always fresh and well stocked. The seafood capitano is my husband’s favorite. The desserts are really good! We haven’t tried breakfasts yet.

I’ve been here before but not for many years. We had a small group and we ate at a time that the crowd was light. We appreciated the service and attention to details from our server. She paid attention to our needs and requests. Any staff we had contact with was kind and courteous. Hopefully, it won’t be so long until our next visit.

This is what a diner should be. If you are looking for a true old-fashioned South Jersey Diner, this is it! An absolute must! The fried steak breakfast was heaven!! I don't know how they make the sausage gravy, but it was hands down the best I have ever tasted.
