Takoma Park Maryland Library

I felt right at home here. This is an independent library and it's daily nice side library. I didn't feel cold or hot. The people I interacted with "G" (it starts with a G) was so nice and helpful. I signed up for a library card and she was such out the box thinking so that I can get that done in this trip. Phil in the computer lab is a wealth of information and he told me about a game he created. Helped me with copies and invited me to come back often. The people seem like they love to be there and that matters on days you're having a rough day. Many of the game amenities as DC libraries. Only 1.5 miles away from me with the community center attached. This will definitely be my go to library! That warm welcome will always be remembered. Keep up the great work.

Came here to study, but the staff were laughing like it was open mic night at Starbucks. I checked twice to make sure I didn’t walk into a brunch spot by mistake. Great if you’re looking for background noise and chaos less great if you’re trying to pass exams.

It is a beautiful library but so small. It is very convenient for me as it is so close to my home. One thing though, the computer room should be open same as library hours does. There is constant noise but one could understand the issue considering the small size. Still, the staff should be mindful of the sound created inside the library at all times.

Very small library, active front desk making loud noise,and hard to focus for reading. No quite reading space available,very limited ,short time parking space .overall didn't like the library based on what it offered me as I need quite place to read. For people who don't care about noise ,it is nice place.

This library is WAY too loud to get any studying, reading, or work done. Unlike every other library I've been to, there is no "quiet" rule at all here, at least during the summer. There are always events going on in the children's room with kids screaming and crying - kids and their parents always walk in and out of the library because it's right next to the community center. Once I asked the staff to close the door, and they refused saying "it'll get too hot for them." Many of the staff are really nice, but overall they do nothing about the kids' noise and sometimes actually make noise themselves. And the library doors also make a lot of noise when they open and close. On the plus side, this library has great wi-fi, is nicely laid out, and has a good collection of books and magazines.
