Takara Japanese Restaurant

I always like coming here to eat with my family and the servers are excellent. The food and drinks are amazing too! We especially love their Espresso Martini, Sake, Tuna Avocado Salad, Okdol Bibimbab, Miso soup, & sushi! PS - We wrote this after the Espresso Martini… but we stand by it! 😊

Looks like I will be coming here a lot more to sample things on their varied menu — good variety of rolls, more traditional Japanese restaurant offerings (udon, katsu, tempura, sashimi, sushi, etc.) and Korean (bibimbap - both cold and hot served in stone bowls; bulgoggi; etc.) Also a nice lunch menu. My first visit and impression was very favorable. 06/24/22 update - second lunch visit: ordered the chirashi bowl for $12.50. The sashimi was of acceptable quality but medium grade. Top grade fish would run you at least $10 more; so their chirashi is fairly priced but not spectacular. The bento box I had on the first visit was a better choice for lunch. Food was pricey but we believe it was delicious, satisfying, and worth the price. I do believe that service and be improved in with making sure servers are asking if customers need drink refills instead of the other way around.

A new favorite restaurant. We had a sampling of delicious dishes. Our server was extremely accommodating. She brought a sample of both wines to see which one I liked best. They celebrated our friends birthday with a song and complimentary dessert. Will be back!

The food was literally inedible. I got the chicken teriyaki dinner and my husband got the beef teriyaki dinner. The beef was all fat and the chicken was tough and chewy. The “salad” was watery iceberg lettuce that they did not bother patting down after rinsing 🤷🏼‍♀️. It was all disgusting. And the bathrooms are very dirty. Wait staff is nice but wow is this place nasty. Feels like eating in a bad cafeteria
