Basil Restaurant

quite good. a little pricy. knowledgeable, friendly and attentive waitstaff. we had an early reservation and were amazed how noisy the place got as it filled up. we ordered the ravioli sampler, clams casino, chicken marsala, chicken piccata, veal saltimbocca, cheesecake and the espresso gelato along with a glass of white sangria. no complaints from what we had--only praise.

If I could give service 10 stars I would. Took my partner to dinner last night for her 30th birthday and everyone from the owner, to the chef, hostess, waiting staff and Theresa were amazing. They all helped me surprise her with this giant present I got her. They held a 90 pound cheese wheel for me in their restaurant for a few hours until I was ready to have them wheel out the surprise! Also, the food was amazing. Cannot rave about the martinis enough! We recently moved to Milford and have been exploring the area for intimate dining and this is a sport we will be coming back to. We now want to check out the bar area! Thanks so much everyone, this was truly an amazing experience!

The food was great, and Basil is known for their sauces, whether it's the piccata, scampi, or saltimbocca. It's all amazing! The only gripe was the Angus New York Sirloin au Poivre was a bit too salty, and the Basil New Fashion's were off tonight! The desserts were great from the Creme brulee to the ice cream and the key lime pie. All in all,it was a great experience and will be back soon.

Do you member when restaurants were fully staffed? Brought bread as soon as you were seated? Had great food? Had servers who were pros and not just kids waiting for a "better" job? That's this place right now. Make a reservation. Everyone knows this place is great.

My family and I went to basils on Saturday for my 70th birthday celebration! The service was incredible, and the food was delicious. I had the roast duck with butternut squash and spinach, which was scrumptious. The rest of our party loved their meals. The service was terrific and the atmosphere upscale but comfortable. Will definitely be back.
