Awesome new cafe in Mission Valley! Their esquire pita sandwich was delicious. Not a big fan of the bread, so next time I’ll give the bowl a try. The halloumi cheese sticks were really good in combination with the fig jam! Absolutely recommended! Don’t forget to grab a coffee next door at Finjan! 😄
I love eating here! They’re super fast, and everything I’ve tried has been incredibly delicious and especially the freshness and high quality of the flavors. I’m so glad they opened a closer location to me in Mission Valley! My favorite is the chicken and rice bowl with the fresh pita bread. The halloumi cheese sticks are also amazing, especially paired with the fig jam!
Stopped by Tahini before heading to the airport. The beef shawarma sandwich was amazing and I loved the red turnip pickles. Honestly one of the best Mediterranean spots we tried in San Diego. It’s connected to Finjan, so you can grab great coffee before or after. The owner was very kind and patient, the place was super clean, and the lemon berry acai soda was so good it didn’t even feel like a soda.
Growing up with a Jewish mother, I'm familiar with good tahini and that style of Middle Eastern cuisine. Been to Israel where I ate shawarma and generally like all types of Middle Eastern food and restaurants... I've tried several of these chain-style schwarma places and usually they're pretty mediocre. So, when I say this was really great (at least the combination of ingredients I got in my pita sandwich), I mean I got it with the intention of taking it to go and after one bite I sat down and devoured the whole thing on the spot! Looking forward to coming back and checking out the coffee shop when it's open. For reference, I got the chicken schwarma. Sauces were garlic, cilantro tahini, and tzatziki. Veggie add-ons were lettuce, tomato, the cilantro mix (ask what's in it - sumac, pomegra
Love love love the food and the vibes! I get the OG pita (sometimes I get it in a bowl) and sambusas and they are epic. I have brought friends, family and my staff back because I want it to stay in business! Great quality food and all the flavors are on point!
