This place is wildly overrated. Tacos Chidos is not worth driving out of your way for. At all. Let’s start with the tortillas. They are horrendously small. Half-dollar size. You finish the taco before your brain even registers that you took a bite. You need multiple tacos just to feel like you ate something. Very unserious. The food itself is nothing special. Carne asada was chopped into tiny fatty bits with bad texture. Not clean cuts. Not pleasant. You spend more time picking around it than actually enjoying it. The pineapple? Shaved so thin it was basically transparent. Decorative at best. No balance, no intention. Service was rude for no reason. I asked a simple question in Spanish do you take card or Zelle. Asked three times. Completely ignored. Then suddenly yes, they take tap. So

Perhaps the best Al pastor tacos I’ve ever had, inarguably the best I’ve ever been served in a parking lot. The orange sauce is far spicier than you think it’ll be but that shouldn’t inhibit you from pouring it on. The passionfruit juice was a beautiful and refreshing way to recover from the heat! Worth going out of your way for and EXCEPTIONAL bang for your buck

Although the burritos were massive and the service was fast and friendly, the filling inside was low quality. I got two burritos- a carne asada (steak) burrito with cheese and an al pastor burrito and two tacos - chicken and al pastor and paid $31. When I got home I was most excited for the burrito. They fill the burrito for you however so you can’t add your salsa and onions or cilantro etc inside by yourself. They put a lot of filler like beans and rice inside. However the meat was poor quality. So many fatty pieces. It’s like they used the cheapest meat possible. We did not even finish more than a couple bites before deciding it was not worth it and throwing it away. Such a shame and a waste of money because I always drive by here and it is always so busy so I thought it must be good. I

Best tacos in all of Los Angeles! 🌮 I have been coming to this location for these delicious tacos and burritos for years! It’s so easy to pull up in the back of the Whole Foods parking lot and enjoy a plate of delicious Mexican street food on the hood of your car. You know, iconic LA stuff! Watch out, some of their salsa’s are HOT, but always so fresh. We always make sure to get a cold Agua Fresca as well! Strawberry is so refreshing on a hot summer day! My favorite thing has to be al Pastor tacos with a slice of pineapple! There most nights this reliable street stand is serving up some of the most authentic Mexican street tacos. Definitely check them out! The take card and cash, and the food is so cheap!
