Taco Sano

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The chicken quesadilla was grilled to perfection — crispy on the outside, perfectly melted and flavorful on the inside. The service was excellent, friendly, and fast. Highly recommend trying it with the cilantro sauce — it takes the flavor to another level. Definitely a five-star experience!

Edit since the owner seems to think I'm part of a grand conspiracy I didn't know anything about until their comment: I've been here three times. It's the king of mediocre burritos. You got a hankering for a breakfast burrito? Hey, these folks will give you a mountain of whatever for an understandable price. You'll be full for hours. Will it taste? Not really! How are the staff? I'd say overworked but polite. My second time there my burrito broke and the guy hooked me up by sprinkling some cheese on another tortilla and wrapping my burrito in that. That was cool, and I'll add a star to service for it. How are the vibes? Not good. Every time I'm there I feel like I'm in a non-Euclidean space. The flow is weird, the lighting feels impossible, and everything looks sticky.

I enjoy eating here and especially enjoy the salsas, but I really hope there is improvement on how the rice is cooked. The brown rice especially is often very gummy and not cooked through completely. It happens regularly enough that I think there's just something wrong with the process of how the rice is cooked. Such a shame because the other ingredients are quite good.

I'm always about supporting local, and Taco Sano is the definition of local! They have been in business in Missoula for a while now, and they are all about being the local spot in town providing good Mexican food. Its a gem just off the Hip Strip, so the location is killer. Always a good spot to grab a burrito while you're down there!

Pretty disappointed with my burrito, especially given the price. I've given this place a few chances, assuming I caught them on a bad day, but it's been consistently underwhelming. The only redeeming qualities are that it's usually empty and they have good sauce options.
