Customer Reviews
Taco Palace is the place we go for simple nostalgia. We typically go here after a kids sporting event when we visit Lamar. It reminds everyone from our town of Mount Vernon of the days when we had our very own Taco Palace. Now there is nothing all that special as far as the food. The food is similar to homemade tacos you would find on Taco night in a your Aunt Betty's kitchen. It just reminds me of family and homemade taco night, and of days gone by. They do a great job and the service is fast and friendly. And the food tastes pretty good. Its is definitely worth checking out.
Food tasted pretty good, although drive thru took a while to get through ~15 minutes for 4 cars. Frito salad is super good, especially for (daily special) $7. Will want to go back when I had back up there!
Stopped in here the other night, for the first time. I used the drive thru and ordered a #1 & 8 combo. At first, I thought the taco meat just wasn't seasoned enough, but by time my combo had been consumed I found myself enjoying the taste. The combo burrito I had was excellent. Me and the wife both appreciated the fact that they used generous quantities of freshly grated cheddar cheese. Being fresh makes a big difference in taste and texture. My service was fast, polite and genuinely good. Best of all both our combos w/ drinks $20.04 They need to come up with a signature hot sauce, I wasn't impressed with the packets they offered. My family will certainly be eating here in the future
Not the greatest place to eat. Not great food. Its just a little old place in Lamar Missouri where we went for a drs appointment and stopped there to eat before returning to Springfield. The food wasnt very good. The building is older and needs work. The workers weren't friendly and were more interested in talking to each other about their boyfriends then helping the customers and when you asked them for something, its like your bothering them. I wouldnt eat there again.
The food tastes like I was in a Junior High lunch room. I asked for a recommendation and they said anything with Deluxe on it. The atmosphere was like am i in an art gallery. There was no cooking beside chef microwave going off.
