Taco Express

Starting with the fair price, one of the most reasonable in town for a three taco dinner, attractive enough to keep me remembering- ordered the gringo regular - steak cilantro and onion on corn tortilla. The food was well made well seasoned with fresh ingredients. The rice and beans were certainly made that day, seemingly not mass-produced and stored, those were delicious. The only poke is it seems crumbled cube steak is used, which is fair to say the smaller the grain of meat, the better the bite of course, but in turn the meat was a little dry. Although the the delicious house-made Verde and fresh juicy lime wedges gave it all the extra needed to pull through and satisfy. Friendly staff, clean comfortable atmosphere.

Do not let the name fool you!! This restaurant sounds like a fast food joint, but the quality & variety of the meals are far beyond it. I ordered a vegetarian Gordita & was shocked by what I received. I've included pictures to showcase what was served. The Gordita crust was PERFECT. A thin crunchy layer around a thick, soft toasted dough. It was absolutely stuffed with tomatoes, lettuce, beans, cheese & avocados. Served with some rice & chips as well. Cannot say enough. It was like how you imagine the food tastes like on cooking competition shows. Friendly, family-style atmosphere with welcoming & efficient staff. I will definitely be back. Check this place out. They've got great food. 💯

I believe I expected more but ended up highly disappointed. I work across the street from this place and my tacos weren’t not warm. I did not pre-order, I walked in and ordered. The woman at the counter was not so friendly and also assumed I preferred lettuce, tomato, and cheese instead of onion and cilantro. There was no taste of the tacos and the onion was not fresh.

The staff is always super friendly and the food is delicious and filling for the price. The prices are very affordable for everyone. My husband and I love eating here. We got a beef taco salad and 2 beef burrito juniors.

Delicious food, good price. Always a last minute decision between the steak and Al pastor, but you can’t go wrong. Everyone always in a good mood and very kind. Only took a visit or two before they knew my order! Will always recommend to people.
