We were in Northampton on graduation weekend, and had difficulty getting into good restaurants, so had to settle for this one, upon recommendation from our daughter's non-Asian professor. No trouble getting seated. One puts down order at the downstairs counter, pays for it, and waits at one's table. Service was definitely fast and efficient. We were a party of 4 - 2 herbivores and 2 carnivores. The rice paper vegetable roll was the best tasting out of all the dishes we ordered. Scallion pancake with vegetable wrap was innovative but a bit dry. Spicy Tofu salad was very salty, and the vegetable tofu curry was quite bland. Report about the beef noodle and shrimp fried rice was also just adequate. I guess we were just happy that we didn't go hungry that night :-).

Tried T. Roots for a bird to eat today. Ordered the hot and sour soup, which was HUGE! Fill bowl of super heated soup, took forever to cook down, but actual spice was not very spicy, but had good taste. The ingredients were very different from regular Chinese restaurant hot and sour. Wife had udon veggie noodles, which was a smaller portion, certainly compared to the soup. We also had soup dumplings, which were 'okay, but made elsewhere and bought, nit prepared on-site. Overall was good.

Scant Rice for a High Price: As a regular guest, I have been disappointed a few times by the not-even-half-portion of brown rice in the takeout containers. Tonight, I’d ordered two $15-dishes, and both of the small rice boxes were barely half-full. I politely told a server at the front that I happened to notice the meager portions of rice before leaving, and they agreed that it was inadequate and took the containers back to the kitchen to be filled. Returning a few moments later, the kind server explained that the manager (who remained in the kitchen) said brown rice portions are always that amount, whereas white rice portions are bigger. I considered asking to speak with the manager directly, but as this issue has occurred repeatedly, I opted to post publicly about it here so others can b

I recently had my first experience trying Taiwanese food, and it was absolutely amazing! I decided to go with the beef stewed noodle soup, which was rich and flavorful. The broth was perfectly seasoned, and the noodles had just the right texture, making it a comforting dish that I couldn't get enough of. To compliment my meal, I ordered a refreshing passion fruit green tea with boba. I was so impressed with the food and overall experience that I couldn't resist coming back for a second visit to indulge in more delicious dishes. I'm definitely looking forward to exploring more Taiwanese dishes in the future!

I lived in Taiwan for several years and this place has super authentic Taiwanese street food and other typical dishes. A lot of this is hard to find in restaurants in the US, and I was so excited by the menu here! There were lots of vegetarian options, and everything was delicious and well presented. The server was very helpful and friendly. I wish I lived a lot closer than 2 hours away so I could go all the time!
