Sweet Things Donuts and Grill

I was not impressed with my experience at Sweet Things Metairie. When I walked in, there were no visible menus. I asked about ordering and was met with a very unhelpful response—essentially “what are you wanting?” When I said a dozen donuts, I was just pointed to the case “This is what we have”. Only after asking specifically about breakfast sandwiches was I handed a folded paper menu, which was never offered upfront. The croissant breakfast sandwich was completely inedible. The bacon was severely burnt, and I had to throw the entire sandwich away. It was honestly disgusting. When I opened the donut box, two of the iced donuts were upside down, with icing smashed and stuck to the box. That shows a lack of care in packaging. Don't waste your time stopping. I pulled up and there were women outside smoking. I went inside and nobody was at the counter. The doughnuts appeared to be old. I turned to leave and the woman smoking said, I'll be there in a moment. No thanks. It's 7am and you can't be bothered to be on the job? Both of thw ladies? Management really needs to rethink things.

Went in to get 3 dozen donuts for my team meeting. I didn’t see specific glazed donuts.. but specialty donuts..I guess because they were mardi style designed…I didn’t ask the price because it didn’t matter. I was picking out the donuts and when asked if I was paying cash I said no using my card. I’m not sure if the card machine was actually down or this location didn’t want my business because my card wasn’t even attempted to be swiped, disappointed to say I drove over 30 minutes just to leave with nothing. It wasn’t busy there were 2 gentlemen inside eating breakfast.

Customer service was comforting! The lady behind the counter was taking orders and cooking. Even when in the back cooking I watched her peak her head from the back to greet every single customer. She was so friendly even asked my daughter and I to come back and hang out again. She was super sweet and such a great employee. We will definitely be back!
