Sweet Southern Market and Restaurant

We recently moved to Heflin earlier this year and have been looking for new places to eat near us, last week we stopped in at Sweet Southern Market Restaurant and OH MAN! We fell in love! The food is FANTASTIC it feels like I’m sitting in my Nanny’s kitchen eating food from my childhood! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service is great!! It’s our new favorite place to take our kids to eat.

We just ate there and it was delicious. The photos don't give this place justice. It's huge inside and is absolutely amazing. The staff are wonderful and the food was delicious. I recommend you he FRIED PICKLES!!

Very friendly staff. Waitress was excellent! She changed the movie on the television so our child could watch while eating. We got our food quickly. It seemed faster than you would get at a fast food establishment. She kept our drinks full. My husband said the burger was excellent and the fried okra was delicious. The restrooms were clean as was the restaurant. The only thing I could see that needed improvement was maybe a sign beside the road. We passed it up to begin with, and we ended up pulling into the gas station above it, and had to turn around. I would say if you are traveling definitely give this place a try. I noticed they have a market with candles, honey, and other things. It also looked like they may have events lined up I noticed they had a band listed to play the following
