Sweet Bites N Ice

Bakersfield……. If you’ve ever been here, you’ll end up here at least once more in your life. Most people are probably fine, but I think I might have a curse because I was born here. ANYWAY, this was the second established I’ve dined in since moving here (again 😒). I actually went here a couple of days ago but I was too busy to review so I was looking back at the pictures and reminiscing. I haven’t been around town much yet, so I wasn’t sure about going around town at night alone but I took a chance. As for the safety aspect of the area, I think it was fine-ish. I wouldn’t go again that late at night. The parking lot is dirt and it’s shared with a couple of other businesses and a food truck. I liked the atmosphere of the place itself; it was cozy and fun and there were plenty of people. A

I usually order the Dubai Cupboard Chocolate Strawberries from Sweet Bites and Ice, but lately, the quality has really gone downhill. Every time I go, the strawberries are barely covered in chocolate or the Dubai sauce — it looks and tastes like they rushed it. On top of that, the strawberries themselves often taste a little off, like they’re old or starting to spoil, and the texture is way too soft. What makes it worse is that if you ask for just a little extra chocolate or sauce on the side, they charge you $6 for a tiny container. For that price, I’d expect fresh strawberries and a generous coating, but unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. Really disappointed because I used to enjoy coming here, but it just doesn’t feel worth it anymore.

Place you go to if you want something sweet or try different options 😌. Prices vary depending on what your getting from 12 to 20 on most food items. Drinks from 6 to 15. But food and drinks are good. Last time I went, it felt like the portion got smaller, dont know if it was just me but still had the same great taste. Still recommend 👌.

I purchased their new Dubi Brownie. I thought it was going to come how they posted the picture (everything seperated), but I was wrong. I got it to go to share with my child. They placed the the ice cream on the brownie. By the time I got home, most of the ice cream was melted and the brownie was super hard. Not worth $20 plus tip. I tried contacting them several times, but they never responded. I'm including a picture of what was posted vs. what I got. 😕

They got little toasty spots where you can keep warm outside and oh my god the walnut crepe with scoop of strawberry..... slrrp
