Sushi Yanagi

Moving reviews over from Yelp and this one was originally published in 2016: Good but not great. Why 4-stars? Mainly because of the amazing service and hospitality. I came in with a group of 8 others from my company - managers, co-workers, engineers, etc. They started us out with some complimentary edamame, met every request we made, produced one prodigious amount of sushi in short order and never let anyone's glass get empty. To me, that constitutes success even if the sushi itself wasn't record-setting. it was still sufficient and I don't believe anyone had any complaints. If you like the fatty tuna you should certainly give their's a try...once they restock because we just ate it all. Like most places these days, they do a lot of rolls with sauce. We have tried Sushi Yanagi quite a few times, we love it! Everything we have tried has been delicious. What inspired me to leave this review today was my salmon avocado sushi (pictured next to the eel avocado sushi, also delicious!) never in my life have I had salmon sushi that looks this beautiful- and it's the best tasting I have ever had. Wow!!

Cleaned my plate with much to take home! Eyes were bigger than stomach but we are excited for leftovers! Thank you :)

The food is delicious. But The workers would not stop staring at us while we would eat. There was always someone staring which was really uncomfortable while eating. Not only that but we ordered 2 shrimp tempura rolls. Both to share. The waiter had also confirmed with us and asked us if we were ordering 2. They got one of our orders wrong and had to switch out the sushi. When we finished eating we asked for the check and they had charged us for 4 Shrimp Tempura Rolls when we ordered two. The server was respectful but seemed like she was in a rush to take our order.

Went to go pick up an order and wasn’t helped. As I was waiting by the door, no one welcomed me and asked if I needed help with anything. Instead they asked the white person behind me if they’re all set and proceed to seat them. It took a few minutes after they seated that person to notice that I was there.
