Chelmsford Public Library

Love this library :) The people who work here are wonderful! And its generally quiet, sometimes people get a lil noisy but its an overall nice environment There's also study rooms (for 2 hours) And they're mostly noise canceling

My happy place ❤️ the Children’s room is wonderful and all the rest of the library. There is even a Special Education PAC Area with a good amount of books to borrow. You have to visit here, it is a must. The staff are great and so helpful🌟

Employees are loud and inconsiderate, defeats the purpose of a library. DO NOT go here if you’re studying and trying to cram because you won’t be able to hear your own thoughts over the employees conversations leaking in through your noise cancelling headphones. 👎

It pains me to give the Chelmsford Library a low review, but every time I've gone recently (basically a few times over the past year or so), their wifi has been very very spotty. Personally, this defeats a big purpose of a library for me - being able to work in a quiet environment on my laptop. I think the wifi works better upstairs, but most or all of the study tables are downstairs in the basement, again making my experience there counterproductive. I know the funds aren't always in favor of public libraries but I hope they can fix this issue with the wifi. It really is a shame, because now I have to go to cafes where I have to spend money in order to work for a while.

Very happy with this library! The librarians are always very friendly and helpful. I like how the website is also easy to navigate. Great selection of books and movies. There is even a courtesy auto-renewal system in place for items that are not on hold for someone else or that have not yet reached the renewal limit.
